I've been divorced for a while now, and my friend Marie keeps trying to get me to register with an online dating service. "I'll help write your profile," she says encouragingly, "Men will love you! You'll have tons of them to choose from!"
But I hesitate. It's not that I am uninterested in meeting someone. It's more that doing so online is disheartening to me, now that I've scrolled through quite a few profiles of baby-boomer men who are around my age.
